Off-the-Shoulder Chic

Ah, summer…

I’m loving how you can mix off-the-shoulder looks with more dressed-up pieces to create the perfect chic-yet-weather-appropriate looks for the season!

That’s why when eShakti asked if I would review one of their new pieces, I jumped at the chance to try this fun, navy off-the-shoulder blouse!

What I love most about this shirt is how easily it transitions from work to play. For work, just pop the shoulders up and you’re ready for the office! For play, wear it like I have here or even take it a bit lower to highlight a statement necklace for a night out! There really are countless accessorizing options for a piece like this. Just make sure to wash in cold water and hang dry to ensure it doesn’t shrink since it’s cotton-based!

I found this gorgeous Cromia nude patent cross-body bag at my favorite spot – TJ Maxx! – but you can find similar ones here and here. For the jewelry, I opted for a simple Zara gold bangle and some pretty, delicate pearl rings from Forever 21. You really don’t need to spend a lot to look like you spent a fortune!

For the look I have here, I decided to stick with minimal accessories so that I could highlight my statement shoe – a gorgeous dual-color heel from Banana Republic. They’re so comfortable and really make an otherwise simple look pop. These shoes are also on sale at the moment, so don’t forget to click on the link below to buy a pair for yourself!

How would you rock the off-the-shoulder look? 🙂

Hi, Mirjam! Thanks! 🙂 That’s SUCH an awesome idea! I’m definitely going to try that since I have a few shirts that no longer fit my husband that could easily become shirt dresses – thanks for the idea!
